Applying for work through job boards has become a staple within the freelance industry, and everyone is competing on the job boards to score more work, especially in such economic conditions we’re in at the moment. This means that there are an ever-dwindling amount of jobs available for an ever-growing amount of people.
So, how can you still score jobs on such sites when everyone else is doing it? Simple. Look at many more job boards than the average person – this will increase your chances of landing a job. That’s why we’ve produced ’8 Brilliant Freelance Job Boards to Help You Get More Clients‘.
1. Krop
2. Authentic Jobs
3. Coroflot
4. Fresh Web Jobs
5. FreelanceSwitch Job Boards
6. GoFreelance
7. Programmer Meet Designer
8. Sologig
It’s getting extremely more difficult to find a sustained source of work as a freelancer in this economic climate, so I really hope that this list can help you on your way to finding more clients.

DoNanza is also a good one. Although it’s more of a freelance job search engine.
I had never seen Krop. Good list.

Nice resource for those looking for work. Personally, I feel you’ll have better experiences on these websites if you have a portfolio and some testimonials under your belt already. Unless the number of jobs slaughter the number of people looking for jobs and I rarely find this to be the case.

@Take 25: I don’t really advocating using bidding sites much as they tend to be bias towards clients in terms of pricing.

i have found job sites to be almost useless. the problem is that recruiters go on and post the same jobs over and over, so it looks like there are more jobs than there are. and the bidding sites are clogged with people from india who will do the work for 1/10th of what you need to make to survive in the US… networking and Craigslist are the only tactics that work for me.

I think FreelanceSwitch is probably my favorite. It’s had the best return, and I’ve had a much better experience overall with it.
